Dear colleagues and friends!

On behalf of the Baltic Society of Phlebology I have the honour to invite you for the 22nd International Master Course of Phlebology, that will take place in Riga from 15 – 16 December 2023. 
The main objective of the Course in question is to review the most recent and progressive methods for the treatment of vein diseases. The focus of the Course will be mainly placed on the laser  ablation and standardisation of intervention, laser crossectomy, sclerotherapy and its various types. Additionally, throughout the Course a significant attention will be devoted for a thorough discussion of the possible combination and sequence of the methods to achieve the best possible medical
and aesthetic result with minimal risk of complications and further side effects.
The Baltic Society of Phlebology are delighted, that invited faculty members of the Course will be Prof. Eberhard Rabe, MD (Germany), who is the Emeritus Past-President of the UIP, Prof. Felizitas Pannier, MD (Germany), expert in Aesthetic Phlebology and especially in sclerotherapy and endovenous ablation of varicose veins, Prof. Tomasz Urbanek, MD (Poland), who is the President of the Polish Society of Phlebology and expert in varicose veins surgery.
The aforementioned review of the background of the international board of faculty provides the participants with an opportunity to learn about the most successful and up-to-date techniques in the field of varicose veins therapy from the
world’s leading physicians specialising in the care of the varicose veins.
The two-day workshop will focus on the latest techniques: EVLA, Foam Sclerotherapy and Liquid Sclerotherapy by using augmented reality (VeinViewer) and polarised light headset (Syris), as well as provide “tips and tricks” for the successful treatment of vein diseases.
The emphasis will be put on the learning efficiency by forming smaller groups of participants to ensure more opportunities for questions and further discussions.
