Message from the President
Dear Colleagues
Members and supporters of the Polish Phlebological Society (PTF)
The PTF Board's 2021-2024 term is coming to an end. It has been a great challenge for me as President of our society. This was a time of pandemic and related restrictions, including changes in the format of conferences and meetings. I am convinced that as a community we proved ourselves and despite life's adversities, we managed to use this time of "plague" above all for the good of our patients.
The numerous webinars, training sessions and individual congresses we organised were well received. Two conferences that I count among our flagship events, Aesthetic Phlebology and World Thrombosis Day, have become permanent fixtures in the calendar of everyone interested in phlebology. I warmly congratulate and thank everyone involved in organising and running these meetings.
The introduction of a system for managing mailings and maintaining the Society's website is also a success. As Polish phlebologists, we are recognised both at home and abroad. Multiplying PTF's income is another significant achievement, and the finances available in the account allow us to look to the future with optimism.
In the 2021-24 term, we thoroughly revised our Statutes, which I consider a great achievement of the Board. I can say with confidence that, thanks to the fruitful cooperation of the PTF Board and many meetings and discussions in a small group, we managed to maintain a common direction and to increase the number of members.
Therefore, I look to the future of vein disease treatment in Poland with full optimism, thanking all PTF members for their trust, the Board for their cooperation and great help, sponsors for their understanding and support, and congress organisers for their professionalism.
Finally, with thanks for these three years, so important in my personal life, I wish everyone good health, stable development for PTF, and my successor, Professor Piotr Terlecki, success in leading PTF to an even higher level.
President of the Polish Phlebological Society
Zbigniew Krasiński
