Website Terms of Service

§1. General Provisions

  1. These Terms of Service set out the rules for using the website of the Polish Phlebological Society, available at ptf.org.pl (hereinafter: the "Website").
  2. The owner and administrator of the Website is:

    (hereinafter: "PTF" or the "Administrator").
  3. Use of the Website constitutes acceptance of the provisions of these Terms of Service.

§2. Definitions

  1. User – any person using the Website.
  2. PTF Member – a person holding active membership of the Polish Phlebological Society.
  3. Services – functionalities available on the Website, including access to information and contact with PTF.

§3. Rules for Using the Website

  1. Use of the Website is free of charge and does not require registration, except for functionalities requiring login (e.g., the member panel).
  2. The User undertakes to use the Website in accordance with applicable law, principles of social conduct, and the provisions of these Terms of Service.
  3. It is prohibited to:
    • undertake actions that could disrupt the functioning of the Website
    • use the Website for unlawful purposes
    • copy, distribute, or modify content without the Administrator's consent
    • attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems

§4. Copyright and Intellectual Property

  1. All content published on the Website, including texts, graphics, photographs, logos, and page layout, is the property of PTF or entities that have consented to its publication.
  2. Materials available on the Website are protected by copyright and other intellectual property protection regulations.
  3. The materials may be used solely for non-commercial and educational purposes, with mandatory attribution of the source.

§5. Liability

  1. PTF makes efforts to ensure that the information published on the Website is up to date and reliable. It is provided for information purposes and may be subject to change.
  2. Medical content published on the Website is provided for information and educational purposes only and does not replace consultation with a doctor.
  3. PTF is not liable for interruptions in the operation of the Website resulting from technical work, failures on the part of service providers or other circumstances beyond PTF's control.
  4. PTF is not liable for the content of third-party websites to which links on the Website lead.
  5. The provisions of this section do not exclude or limit PTF's liability to the extent that it cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory provisions of law, in particular towards consumers and for damage caused intentionally.

§6. Protection of Personal Data

  1. The rules for processing personal data are set out in the Privacy Policy.
  2. The rules for the use of cookies are set out in the Cookie Policy.

§7. Complaints

  1. Complaints regarding the functioning of the Website may be submitted via e-mail.
  2. The complaint should include: the complainant's contact details, a description of the problem, and the expected method of resolution.
  3. The Administrator will review the complaint within 14 business days of its receipt.

§8. Changes to the Terms of Service

  1. The Administrator reserves the right to introduce changes to the Terms of Service.
  2. Users will be informed of any significant changes via a notice on the Website.
  3. Continued use of the Website after changes have been introduced constitutes acceptance of them.

§9. Technical Requirements

  1. The following are necessary to use the Website:
    • a web browser with JavaScript support (e.g., the current version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
    • a minimum screen resolution of 320px
    • an active internet connection
  2. The Administrator is not responsible for problems resulting from failure to meet the above technical requirements.

§10. Risks Associated with the Use of Electronic Services

  1. The use of services provided electronically involves typical risks, in particular: malicious software (viruses, spyware), phishing (attempts to obtain data by deception), including e-mail and text messages impersonating PTF or other institutions, interception of data sent over unsecured networks, unauthorised access to accounts, and unsolicited messages (spam).
  2. PTF never asks for a password, login details or payment card details by e-mail, text message or telephone. The member panel is available only at ptflebologiczne.sorga.pl.
  3. To reduce the risk, we recommend: using up-to-date software and antivirus software, checking the sender's address and the website address before entering any data, using different passwords for different services, and not opening suspicious links or attachments.
  4. Please report suspicious messages using the PTF name to sekretarz@ptf.org.pl.

§11. Final Provisions

  1. In matters not regulated by these Terms of Service, the provisions of Polish law shall apply, in particular the Civil Code and the Act on the Provision of Electronic Services.
  2. Disputes arising from the use of the Website shall be resolved by the competent court in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure (Kodeks postępowania cywilnego). Consumers may also use out-of-court complaint and redress procedures, in particular the assistance of a municipal or district consumer ombudsman.
  3. These Terms of Service come into force on the date of their publication on the Website.
