ECoP Theoretical Online Course 2026
Dear Members of the Polish Society of Phlebology, We have received important information from the European College of Phlebology (ECoP) regarding the 5th edition of the ECoP Theoretical Online Course, which will take place in 2026. This is the most comprehensive, structured theoretical training in phlebology in Europe, conducted by renowned experts. Key course information: • Duration: January – September 2026 • Scope: all key phlebology topics • Educational points: course is accredited by UEMS and provides 36 CME points • Points awarded for taking at least 14 of 18 exams, even if not all are passed • ECoP certificate for passing ≥14 exams • Certificate of participation with fewer passed exams – both variants allow receiving 36 CME • Cost: 1800 € • Price also includes free participation in the ECoP conference in Budapest (November 5–7, 2026) Discounts for members of the Polish Society of Phlebology: • 20% – standard discount for members of societies belonging to ECoP • 30% – when registering 10 people • 40% – when registering over 20 people Registration is via: www.europeancollegeofphlebology.com (View Course tab). Endovenous Laser Treatment (EVLT) – Online Course
A comprehensive compendium of current theoretical knowledge enriched with years of practical experience, delivered as an online course (flexible access – log in at any time). Designed for physicians involved in varicose vein treatment. The course covers all aspects of planning and performing laser procedures, including difficulties, adverse effects, and complications. Created without AI tools – based on the knowledge and over a decade of experience of the authors, in both performing endovenous procedures and conducting hands-on training. Includes thirty chapters illustrated with diagrams, photos, and video. The course concludes with a knowledge test. Upon completion, an optional next stage is available – individual practical training, including exercises on phantoms and assisting in endovenous procedures. Accreditation: Silesian Medical Chamber in Katowice, 14 educational points. World Thrombosis Day 2026
The “Zakrzepica 2026” (Thrombosis 2026) conference, held on the occasion of World Thrombosis Day, will take place on 10 October 2026 at the Sound Garden Hotel in Warsaw. The event is held under the patronage of the Polish Phlebological Society (PTF). Organiser: Medycyna Praktyczna. The programme comprises four lecture sessions with panel discussions (9:40–17:05). Topics include current standards in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of venous thromboembolism, a diagnostic algorithm for deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, the role of D-dimer, choosing an anticoagulant (DOAC, LMWH, VKA), treatment of acute pulmonary embolism and catheter-directed therapies, extended treatment after a first VTE episode and VTE recurrence, VTE in cancer patients, factor XI/XIa inhibitors, antiphospholipid syndrome, and complications after pulmonary embolism, including chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension. Speakers include Prof. Piotr Pruszczyk, Prof. Anetta Undas, Prof. Jerzy Windyga, Prof. Tomasz Urbanek, Prof. Zbigniew Krasiński and Prof. Piotr Terlecki. The programme is not final and may change. On-site participation is free of charge – registration is required, places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Online participation costs PLN 170 and includes the live stream on 10 October. All participants will have access to the recordings on the conference website for one year after the event. So far, 252 on-site and 53 online participants have registered (as of 10 September 2026). Educational credits: 14 points.
