Website Terms of Service

§1. General Provisions

  1. These Terms of Service set out the rules for using the website of the Polish Society of Phlebology, available at ptf.org.pl (hereinafter: the "Website").
  2. The owner and administrator of the Website is:

    (hereinafter: "PTF" or the "Administrator").
  3. Use of the Website constitutes acceptance of the provisions of these Terms of Service.

§2. Definitions

  1. User – any person using the Website.
  2. PTF Member – a person holding active membership in the Polish Society of Phlebology.
  3. Services – functionalities available on the Website, including access to information, event registration, and contact with PTF.

§3. Rules for Using the Website

  1. Use of the Website is free of charge and does not require registration, except for functionalities requiring login (e.g., the member panel).
  2. The User undertakes to use the Website in accordance with applicable law, principles of social conduct, and the provisions of these Terms of Service.
  3. It is prohibited to:
    • undertake actions that could disrupt the functioning of the Website
    • use the Website for unlawful purposes
    • copy, distribute, or modify content without the Administrator's consent
    • attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems

§4. Copyright and Intellectual Property

  1. All content published on the Website, including texts, graphics, photographs, logos, and page layout, is the property of PTF or entities that have consented to its publication.
  2. Materials available on the Website are protected by copyright and other intellectual property protection regulations.
  3. The materials may be used solely for non-commercial and educational purposes, with mandatory attribution of the source.

§5. Liability

  1. The Administrator makes every effort to ensure that the information published on the Website is up-to-date and reliable; however, it does not bear responsibility for its completeness and accuracy.
  2. Content of a medical nature is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice and does not replace consultation with a specialist physician.
  3. The Administrator shall not be liable for:
    • damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Website
    • content published on external websites linked from the Website
    • interruptions in Website availability caused by external factors

§6. Protection of Personal Data

  1. The rules for processing personal data are set out in the Privacy Policy.
  2. The rules for the use of cookies are set out in the Cookie Policy.

§7. Complaints

  1. Complaints regarding the functioning of the Website may be submitted via e-mail message.
  2. The complaint should include: the complainant's contact details, a description of the problem, and the expected method of resolution.
  3. The Administrator will review the complaint within 14 business days of its receipt.

§8. Changes to the Terms of Service

  1. The Administrator reserves the right to introduce changes to the Terms of Service.
  2. Users will be informed of any significant changes via a notice on the Website.
  3. Continued use of the Website after changes have been introduced constitutes acceptance of them.

§9. Technical Requirements

  1. The following are necessary to use the Website:
    • a web browser with JavaScript support (e.g., the current version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
    • a minimum screen resolution of 320px
    • an active internet connection
  2. The Administrator is not responsible for problems resulting from failure to meet the above technical requirements.

§10. Final Provisions

  1. In matters not regulated by these Terms of Service, the provisions of Polish law shall apply, in particular the Civil Code and the Act on the Provision of Electronic Services.
  2. Any disputes arising from the use of the Website will be resolved by the court having jurisdiction over the Administrator's registered office.
  3. These Terms of Service come into force on the date of their publication on the Website.
